PRIVATE MANIGOD TRANSFERS FROM GENEVA AIRPORT
Manigod is a resort that rewards those who seek it out, and arriving by private transfer from Geneva sets exactly the right tone. The drive takes around 1 hour 15 minutes, taking you up through the Aravis mountains and delivering you directly to your chalet or apartment in the village, with no shared shuttles and no stops along the way. Your driver will be ready and waiting in the arrivals hall at Geneva Airport the moment your flight lands.
We are based in the Aravis and know Manigod and the surrounding mountains well. The road into the village is one of the most peaceful approaches we make, and by the time you arrive the calm and authenticity of the place will already have made its impression. Along the way we are happy to share local knowledge on snow conditions, the best runs for your group, and where to eat and drink in and around the valley.
Our private Manigod ski transfers are built entirely around your group, your flight, and your schedule. We track your arrival in real time, take care of all luggage and ski bags, and handle everything so that your holiday begins the moment you step into the vehicle. Whether you are heading to Manigod for a quiet family ski week, to explore the wider La Clusaz ski area on the combined pass, or simply because you love the idea of a genuinely unspoiled corner of the Alps, we will get you there comfortably and on time.
MANIGOD RESORT GUIDE
Manigod is one of the most quietly appealing destinations in the French Alps, and one of the least discovered by international visitors. Sitting at around 1,550m in the heart of the Aravis range in Haute-Savoie, less than 1 hour 15 minutes from Geneva Airport, it is a scattered mountain hamlet of traditional farms, stone chalets, and working pastures that has managed to retain a way of life largely unchanged by the arrival of skiing. The surrounding landscape is spectacular, with views across to the Mont Blanc massif and deep into the Aravis peaks, and the sense of space and quiet is immediate and striking. It is the kind of place that appeals to visitors who have grown tired of busy resort centres and are looking for something genuinely different.
The ski area at Manigod, operated by La Belle Montagne, covers a compact but well-designed network of pistes particularly well suited to beginners, families, and those building their confidence on the slopes. Day passes start from around 24 euros, making it one of the most affordable ski areas in the region. The terrain is gentle and tree-lined for the most part, with simple, easy-to-use lifts and a relaxed atmosphere on the mountain that makes it ideal for young children and first-time skiers. The real draw for stronger skiers is the direct connection to the La Clusaz ski area via the Croix Fry sector, opening up 125km of pistes across five linked mountains including the challenging La Balme freeride area and the sweeping runs of L’Etale. A combined Manigod and La Clusaz pass unlocks the whole area, and the neighbouring Le Grand-Bornand ski area is just ten minutes away by shuttle bus, giving access to a further 84km of pistes.
Away from the slopes, Manigod has an identity rooted firmly in its farming heritage and Savoyard traditions. The Croix Fry valley is lined with old farms and family-run auberges serving some of the most authentic mountain food in the region, and the Aravis is the heartland of Reblochon cheese, so the local fondue and tartiflette are as good as anywhere in the Alps. Non-skiers and families will find snowshoeing, winter walks, and cross-country skiing readily available, and the pace of life is slow enough that doing very little at all feels perfectly acceptable. For those who want to be close to world-class skiing, within easy reach of Geneva, but surrounded by genuine mountain life rather than resort infrastructure, Manigod is an exceptional and increasingly sought-after base.
